Located at a place in Blue Ridge Parkway which is known by the name
Little Switzerland, is Switzerland Cafe which offers its customers a
good choice of salads, soups, sandwiches, smoked meat and trout and
dessert while they enjoy cozy and relaxing atmosphere of the mountains.
A primer in the location says that Little Switzerland got its name
due to its resemblance to the Jura Mountains in the Swiss Alps as
mirrored by its green hills and long range views. The cafe itself is
situated close to a number of High Country attractions including the
Emerald Village and Grassy Creek Golf Course. It should be noted however
that Switzerland Cafe is a seasonal business, as it is close during the
winter months and will reopen in the Easter weekend.
